Tour to Famagusta and Kyrenia – Trip from Eastern Cyprus , departs from Protaras or Ayia Napa or Larnaca.

Our first stop will be at the viewpoint of the Ghost Town of the Varosha, a section of the town of Famagusta, known as the “Ghost town”. This is a the fenced sealed-off area which remains abandoned and trapped in a time-lock since the Turkish invasion. Once was one of the world’s best-known tourist resorts with its golden sand beaches and modern architecture.
Then continue to Famagusta town for a short walk in the old town, where you will see the wall of the city and the Othello Tower and St Nicolas Gothic Church, which is now a mosque.
Driving through Pentadaktilos Mountain range, we arrive at Bellapais Abbey, which is a masterpiece of Gothic Art. Its construction was completed in the 13th century by the White Canons, a Roman Catholic religious order founded by Saint Norbert. The Abbey offers breath-taking views of the coast of Kerynia and a pleasant atmosphere of tranquillity.
Our final stop is in the northern end of the island at the town of Kerynia, a city with more than 3000 years of Greek history. Plenty of free time is given for lunch (optional extra) and sightseeing. There you can visit the picturesque Harbour and the Castle of Kerynia (optional extra), which hosts the remains of one of the oldest shipwrecks in the world. Observe the impact of many different historical periods – Byzantine, Lusignan and Venetian and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the fishing harbour.
We will stop for lunch along the way which is optional and payable locally.
Return back to Protaras – Ayia Napa and Larnaca through the check point.

For this excursion, clients staying in Larnaca area are transferred to and back from the excursion bus near Agia Napa with a mini bus or with the local bus service, free of charge
