Troodos Jeep Safari – Day trip tour from Limassol
Valid until October 2024 – Every Wednesday
Jeep safari begins with a visit to Kouris Dam. Enjoy the view point and the sunken church of Alassa village.
Continue with a stop at the picturesque Village of Laneia. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful flower lined streets and stone houses.
Tour continues for visit to one of the largest waterfalls on the island – “Millomeri Waterfalls”.
Heading up to Ayios Nicolaos village for a break and coffee will then visit the ancient “Tzielefos Bridge”, hidden deep within the mountains, which in the past the bridge connected the two parts of Cyprus.
Continuing further, there will be off-road driving towards Kykkos Monastery, which is, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. it is one of the wealthiest and most lavish monasteries in Cyprus, and houses one of the three icons attributed to Apostle Luke the Evangelist.
For lunch there will be a stop in a traditional village tavern.
After Lunch, from there on Jeep Safari tour continues to Mount Olympus, which is the highest peak point on the island.
Finally the jeep Safari is completed with a visit to Omodos, a traditional village, where the Church of Holy Cross can be viewed, translated as church of “Timios Stavros”. in the village one can explore the local souvenir shops. The different types of local wines can also be tasted as Omodos is considered one of the famous wine producing villages in the area.
