Istanbul, Gallipoli battlefields and Troy Tour – 5 days
Day 1
Welcome to Istanbul, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours free to explore.
Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2
After breakfast, visit the Blue Mosque, Saint Sofia Museum, Topkapi Palace including St.Irene and the Hippodrome. Continue on to visit a carpet shop and learn how carpets are made locally by hand. After lunch take an optional cruise on the Bosphorous River which separates two continents Europe and Asia. (cruise is optional) Overnight Istanbul. (B, L)
Day 3
Gallipoli battlefields tour
Early pick up time today 06:30–07:00am from your hotel in Istanbul. Depart for the Gallipoli peninsula, driving time is approx. 5-6 hours. Visit the World War I battlefields of the Allied Forces and see the war memorials that commemorate the fallen soldiers. Visit the Lone Pine Australian Memorial and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial, ANZAC Cove, Brighton Beach, the Beach Cemetery, Ari Burnu Cemetery, Johnston’s Jolly (where you’ll visit original Allied and Turkish trenches and tunnels), 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial and The Nek. Dinner and Overnight in Çanakkale. (B, L, D)
Day 4
Ancient Troy
This morning visit the Naval Museum and the minelayer, Nusret. After lunch, step back in time today as we visit Troy, famous for the legendary Trojan Horse from the times of beautiful Helen, the Queen of Sparta, and Paris, the Trojan Prince. Return back to Istanbul, arrive late at approx 11pm.

Istanbul
After breakfast, day is free at leisure. (B)

Notes:
This tour is a ‘Guaranteed Departure’ tour, which means that it will depart daily regardless of how many people are booked on to it. Minimum 2 persons are required for the tour to operate. Maximum group size is 8 persons.
Tour does not operate during the ‘Anzac day’ period. Please ask for the specific Anzac day tours.
The Nusret and Naval museums are closed on Mondays, therefore replaced by the Kapatepe museum.
